The Hepatitis B Trust Helpline has helped over 10,000 callers deal with issues related to hepatitis b.  We now use a mobile sim to facilitate modern technology allowing callers to use many platforms to contact us.  Use of mobile technology also allows face to face calls, data exchange and conference calls to provide extra support. 

The mobile sim is strictly confidential and all calls are data protected we do not ask for names.

Most calls revolve around questions relating to Infections, Vaccinations and Risk.  Our staff are experts in this field and have trained at the Royal College of GP's. 

The helpline motto's are "We never guess" and "Getting the best care from your Liver and other Doctors".  We also use the Sim to reconnect a caller with their original counsellor to avoid repetition.

The key goal is to help patients understand what is their own level of hepatitis b and reassure and empower them.
